This Ramp is designed to operate up to a 280mm high step edge and meet the requirements of UNECE 107. The CP22 Electric Powered Ramp, is a variant of the CP5UG-LW but with fixed side up-stands designed to conform to TFL requirement (2023 onwards). This ramp comprises of a cassette mounted directly under the bus floor The CP22 is designed for floors having a gradient between 2° to 5° The CP22 Electric Powered Ramp is installed without chassis modification either during new build or as a retrofit to vehicles in service. It is designed for low floor vehicle application with significantly good ground clearance to reduce the risk of accident damage. The ramp is deployed by pressing a switch located in the driver’s cab during which there is an audible warning that ceases when ramp is fully extended. A handbrake interlock ensures the Bus cannot move when the ramp is extended and will only release when the ramp is correctly stowed. The Ramp is fitted with 2 limit switches 1 for the Main tray and 1 for the Second stage (Extension Board) Both switches need to be monitored at all times This will ensure that Full/Partial extension of both /either main tray and the 2nd stage board will initiate Halt brake activation The CP22 Electric Powered Ramp is manufactured using stainless steel and polymer running parts, together with anodized aluminium components. The ramp must complete a self-test on each occasion the bus ignition system is activated The Ramp is equipped with an electronic safety function causing it to STOP when making contact with an obstruction (known as the “Sensitive Edge”) The Ramp must not operate when in Ferry Lift mode
