About
This session is in collaboration with Espaçes Mobilités.
Autonomous mobility has seen a rollercoaster ride over the last decade. Nevertheless, over the past 2 years, we have seen real commercial rollouts in Asia, the USA and Europe, in the fields of robotaxis, autonomous shuttles and, more recently, buses. The aim of this session will be to take a closer look at the state of the art and the lessons to be learned from the deployment of medium and large capacity vehicles in different urban and rural contexts. It will also shed light on the motivations and role of public authorities in promoting the deployment of autonomous mobility in the public transport sector, in terms of innovation, infrastructure adaptation, ITS deployment and regulation.
