Key issues include high upfront costs for advanced, green technologies and infrastructure, which may deter operators from investing. Additionally, the complexity of evaluating and integrating environmental performance metrics complicates procurement decisions. Limited availability of suitable green buses and fluctuating government subsidies further contribute to uncertainty. Addressing these barriers is essential to ensure the widespread adoption of sustainable public transport solutions.
