[Birmingham, UK – April 2025] – Grayson Thermal Systems has announced the release of its latest range of high-performance PTC Electric Water Heaters – the EW3, EW4, and EW5 – expanding its auxiliary heating solutions for the heavy vehicle and stationary power sectors.
Designed to meet the rising demand for reliable and low ambient heating in high-voltage battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell applications, these heaters provide a safe and reliable solution for OEMs seeking intelligent thermal management that’s future-ready.
The new product line offers performance outputs ranging from 5kW to 16kW, covering a broad spectrum of heating needs:
All models utilise Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) technology, ensuring self-regulating thermal output for improved safety and energy efficiency. With CAN-controlled logic, real-time fault detection, and integrated over-temperature protection, each unit is engineered for seamless plug-and-play integration into complex vehicle and equipment systems.
The new heaters are particularly suited for bus and coach, commercial, off-highway, defence and special vehicles, as well as stationary power storage and generation applications.
“Our new electric water heaters are more than just heating elements – they’re high-voltage-ready, fully protected thermal modules built to support the electrification shift to higher voltages that are being seen across our sectors,” said Matthew Hateley, Head of European Sales and Marketing at Grayson.
“By offering modular solutions that span multiple voltage levels and variable heat outputs, we’re giving OEMs the flexibility and confidence to integrate smarter, more efficient auxiliary heating.”
Backed by over 47 years of engineering expertise and trusted by OEMs around the world, Grayson’s latest heating innovation helps ensure that next-generation electric and hydrogen vehicles remain efficient, comfortable, and ready for any climate.
